Coming from XSI to Maya, you need to find the fbx exporter for XSI. This will allow a proper import into Maya

crap well the reason i ask is because i had to make a egg and stand for 3d animation in maya using only nurbs. Well maya wasnt being nice and would give me a expection just in time debugger error and close on start up. So my only choice i had was to do it in xsi. I didnt have much time either
