filling hole in NURBS

hey im making an ashtray. I used the subtract tool with some cylinders to create the given shape. now i want to fill the wholes it created. when i mean 'fill', i mean i just want it closed, i don't want the original shape back. how can i do this? thanks for the help guys.

you could create a curve from the trim edge, cut it in half and execute a loft operation.


everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
