Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

hmmm

when rednering in vector with the default settings, i don't think the render will render the material details.

but if you really want to do it, there is another way however, but it is a little complicated because you have to link render shader attributes and stuff inside the render options and set things up so you can get some maya render with vector render.
