This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

The dust on those models looks fantastic.
Really adds the realistic touch
makes me want to get back into modeling..
Wish i could give you some crit, but your doing to good a job..

mostly using various filters in ps - starting off with clouds, noise and then playing with opacity and blending modes. i also created some dust / dirt in a seperate file using this tut (https://www.teamphotoshop.com/article...t-5,8,45a.html)
and then overlayed it using a lighten blend mode, though i don't think i actually did that on these 2. the models vary as i am still getting used to using photoshop. i only just discovered masks! how sad is that? user added image

Hi,

thanks arran I think I might give it a go on some of the objects on my scene.

RE photoshop, I'm not to comfortable using layers either. Still not entirely sure how to work with them.
