The only problem I noticed was that the buildings have a weird line around them.

BTW, I think the deadline is November 1st.

No probs!

If you get chance I would render it out in layers than add a slight blur to the edges of the buildings in compositing.

ohh should say with the instancing thing that is not really that amount of polys its just the 1 object thats then got multiple transform nodes, hence why its so light on the comp!

Thanks for all the input guys and the white lining is a result of the magic wand tool in photoshop which i hope clear away when i use depth of field.
Otherwise i will render with renderlayers and blur the edges around the building.

I've moddeled and painted the base color of the plane which I,after applying some grassy textures and such, import in the new york scene.

I think i will make another building in the background just to break up the treeline of the background but then i will finalise the project and will post it in the final entries section....

@louis56: I appreciate the gesture, but i don't think i have the best work there are a lot of great entries around here.

I'm almost finished i have to fix some minor stuff but this is probably how it's going to look like......

Going well!

I don't know about whether your's is the best one, but it's definitely looking good. Plus, you're one the few people making any progress and posting it here user added image .

Anyway, the clouds look too round and not very smooth. I also attached an image of another part which isn't looking smooth at all... You might want to work on these a bit.
Keep going. You don't have much time till deadline user added image .

hmmm ... not sure i agree with bennyk about the clouds - they look fine to me - how did you do them?

i do think the whole image looks a little dark, so some of the details get lost. i might add a few lights specifially linked to certain objects, such as the bridge and plane crash, just to pull them out of the darkness a bit.

Hi Arran,

I made the clouds using fluids and about the image being to dark it's something i here a lot about some of my renders the only problem is , when i look at them here on my monitor everything just seems fine anyhow it doesn't matter because i haven't got any time anymore to tweak and adjust the render so i will post my final render in the final entrythread and just hope for the best.......
