Couple of Questions Views & Referance

Hi,

Couple of questions.

1. In Solidworks its possible to select a view and do a cut aweay so you can see inside an object for exmaple. It does not effect the geomatry. Is this possible in Maya?

2. I have one object that i need to duplicate several times however i may need to make amends to it. What would be the best way to reffernace this object and and changed made to it be reflected in the other object.

Cheers for everyones help in helping me leatn Maya.

Matt

1. just select the faces you wanna see in the view pane go to show->isolate selected->view selected.

2. go to the special duplicate options and duplicate your object as instances. anytime you change the main model the other ones should get updated...
