The gray scale is darker than what a normal sketch would look like. It will enable me to color it properly. If the the gray scale is too light, the color will not show good, and will look washed out. One of the problems thats evident in some of the color sketches I posted in the 2D concept thread.

Upper body is almost complete. These 2 pics are about 7 hours apart. Hope to have another update tomorrow.

A couple more wips. Won't have any more for a few days. Hair is extremely hard. This is going to take more time than I thought.

I see my thread has been moved to the WIP forum. Isn't this forum for 3D projects only? user added image

It's like that in the refference photo.

Jay asked me if I could show my progress on a 2D piece over some debate about my 2D work. Had someone accuse me that my work was filtered, and not done by hand. You can read up on it in the 2D Art Concept/Show Your Stuff thread in the members lounge.

I chose Jessica Simpson because her movie "Employee of the month" has been on TV quite a bit. So I thought it would be cool to draw her. It's sad to see that Jay has not commented on it, since he's the one that talked me into showing my work.
