texturing has to be involved!

...for me a model is not finished unless it has a texture.

there should be no app limits. People have their own methods to get their work looking good, and we shouldn't take away that by restricting the Apps allowed...

When you say no App limit does that mean someone could do it as a 2D image instead of 3d?

The over all image would have to have some 3d element in there as ther main focus but you could go mad on a 2d backdrop, matte etc...

Or what would people say to a 2d AND 3d entrences to the comp, might spice it up??

Id probably prefer being able to make a 2d entry. The principals are the same and it would probably encourage more people to join.
In the end i think its all about the final image, regardless on the Technique used.

and i say maya is 3d, we keep it 3d user added image

If just model then 1 month if texturing as well then 2.

I think no matter what it should be a 2 month one as most the official ones were 2 and they felt just right.

As for app`s then anything thing goes as far as I am concerned but this is a 3D site and I think the entry should be 3D.

Only 10 votes mmmmmmmh

Why not just best overall picture?
And you get points for modeling, lighting, composition and texturing making up the final total.
Why not make the length of the comp a month and the winner get's a week to make up the next comp subject

and i will say this for the last time;
Villain villain villain LOL

Problem is people have lives to live - getting a project within a month can be hard to do if your busy.

I know I could not have done one in one month last month (man super busy) but if I had 2 I would have.

Most people can model but uv`s and texturing can take time when you not that good at it.
