I'd also like to do a little animation, because some of my ship design relies on particle dynamics which I'm going to try out, but I don't know if I'll have time before the challenge ends. I guess I'll just have to see how it goes...

This isn't meant to be a complaint or criticism in any way, cause obviously everyone knows how challenges/competitions are supposed to work...
but does any one think it's a bit funny that the person who is the best at modelling and texturing etc gets points to spend on... tutorials?:p
It would make more sense for the worst entry to get some points, as in "dude, you seriously need some help with this stuff"user added image

haha, anyway... ignore the above.

That's why we've had different prizes in the past, paid for by yours truly, but I can't really afford to do that any more, and I've run out of books to give away. user added image Unless someone wants a Japanese translation? haha

Hmmm I was wondering...are we allowed to change our entry? I'm thinking that my ship is just going to be too massive to texture etc...I was also wondering - would a mech with a jet pack count as a 'space ship'? I had this neat idea for a robot.

More or less ^.^

Check out Skullcrusher in the WIP board. That's what I was going to do, but I decided it DEFINATELY wasn't spaceship enough lol.

if you want to, but it wouldn't be taken into consideration when it comes to the final vote. Just the final still composition

Does the final image have to be a set aspect ratio? Can I make my final image into a mock up poster?

You can do whatever you want, but if the image is really really large, link to it instead of attaching it when the time comes.
