Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

SSS shader

How i can connect mib_transparency to my SSS shader ... i've tried to put in all the channels in SSS_fast_skin but there is no channel for transparency

GecT ??? : )))

I solve it

1. Create mib_transparency node

2. Put SSS in "Input" and Alpha Map in Transp
note: white is transparent here! Just tick "Invert" in the Effects tab under the file node

3.Select sss shading group and plug mib_transparency in the material shader under mr --> custom nodes

The sss shader should do this for you, I have to fix some issues with my avatar this will involve doing texture map for the differant layers..............dave
