Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

wrl to MAYA

Hi all! Total noob here trying to use MAYA for bio-modeling animations. I am trying to import a protein data base file that have exported from Chimera as a .wrl file. I am using the wrl2ma.exe plugin according to the instructions found at "https://wiki.brown.edu/confluence/display/ctx/using+wrl2ma" . The instructions warn that large files (the wrl file is 12,542 kb) may take several hours. What concerns me is that my windows command window seems to be running through the same 5000 lines of code over and over again. I haven't done much programming either, so I don't know if that's normal or not. Has anyone tried to use this plug-in or import a .wrl to MAYA otherwise?
Thanks!
