Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Why so many Triangles?

I have recently got back into learning Maya, and currently modeling a car.

Having hit a couple of hurdles, I was trying to find how other people modeled their cars, and found a mesh online.

Opened it up, and it is a good looking model, but looking deeper it is a complete "mass" of triangles.

Every tutorial I look at, the message is avoid triangles - so probably totally noob, but why avoid, especially when this model looks good with so many ?

Any comments welcomed user added image
