Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I saw this the other day - Although its lovely I can`t help but hate some of the camera moves within it. They got so much right in this animation just to throw it away with weak zooms and pans. About time there was some artistic animation coming from this gen of video games.

What I find interesting is that they get more action into a 7 minute video than a lot of feature films do in 2 hours these days user added image

Well the voice talent's last name gave me my dinner idea for today, curry! But on a serious note, that was pretty well done, except for those few "swish! look! zoom! look some more!" type camera moves Tweety mentioned. The situation is nightmarish on so many levels.

I thought it was a fantastic short film. Really draws you in with one visible character in one set.

I think they did the swish camera thingies to enhance the confusing feeling KARA felt when being assembled.
The story itself looks too much like AI with that annoying "I see dead people"-kid

I agree with the camera moves. It's nice looking, but the robot arms could have been designed a bit better. They also didn't really have a mechanical feel to them.

But as always, the guys at Quantic have done a great job on the character's emotions.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.
