QVC has an immediate need for a Managing Designer with strong broadcast (network) graphics experience to lead and develop a talented team of Design Professionals at our corporate headquarters in West Chester, PA. Reporting to the Manager, Broadcast Graphics, the Managing Designer is responsible for the design and production of broadcast graphics and graphics for a variety of QVC projects. This position assists in managing department projects and leads a design team by training, coaching and developing their skills. High energy, creative thinking and sharing expertise really motivates this team.

Responsiblities include:
- Design projects; help develop motion graphics for promos, show opens, menus, stings, snipes, transitions, network packages, specialized presentations, seasonal and holiday graphics, etc.
- Conceptualize and create attractive design solutions in accordance with corporate image and style standards.
- Use creative imaging and storyboarding to convey ideas and concepts prior to final graphic creation.
- Creatively interpret in-house graphic themes and create broadcast quality graphics using 2-D, 3-D and compositing software.

In addition, the Managing Designer provides senior level strategic creative solutions and coordinates designs with the Manager, Broadcast Graphics, the Art Directors and Creative Directors to ensure creative continuity of QVC’s corporate branding standards, including composition, design, color, and typography. This key role provides senior level creative support to enhance the live on-air show and multichannel platforms (i.e, print, web, mobile and social).

This position works a rotating schedule of 2 weeks on day shift (9am - 5pm) and then 2 weeks on evening shift (3pm - 11pm), etc.. Shift differential pay is provided when working evening shift.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics or related field required.
- 7+ years DIRECTLY RELATED experience in a Broadcast Graphic environment required.
- Minimum 2 years SUPERVISORY experience leading and managing a team in a Broadcast Graphics environment required.
- Fluent design skills for broadcast platform (i.e., Live TV, on-air promos, etc.) required.
- Advanced animation skills required: Adobe After Effects, Maya, 3D Studio Max.
- VIZ rt experience is a plus!
- Excellent communication skills, ability to relay ideas visually, storyboarding, pre-visualization, concepting abilities required.
- Ability to work a rotating shift.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to differentiate between colors required.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing between 15-25 lbs.
