wtf am i doing wrong..lol.

user added imageI'm trying to model a car (chevelle) and when I mirror geo and the smooth mesh preview this is what I get. A giant heap of crap..lol. I havent been edge looping only splitting polys. Clean up makes it worse, but every car model I've ever tried, I run into the same issues.

When you do a mirror it merges all the verts on the mesh what you need to do is change the merge distance down, look in the chanal box after you have merged then change the distance down to some thing like 0.001.............dave
