Empire Uncut

Came across this a few minutes ago, some of you may be interested in it. Basically you claim a 15 second segment of The Empire Strikes Back, and recreate it in any way you see fit.

Could make for an interesting challenge, too, if we don't have a new one in the works

Haha, it took me quite a lot to not claim a fly-by scene. So tempting

Group project? 15 seconds is a lot of work.

Yeah, it is, but it doesn't necessarily have to be photo-real... you could do a CG stick figure version... or a CG background and roto the characters with 2D animation.

But you know what, I'd definitely contribute a few hours to a simplymaya group effort.

Yup, you can also claim up to five 15 second segments. So if you wanted to do a long fly-by scene, or a big community project, you could
