well, I am working in maya and using mental ray for rendering. I would be using Fusion/After effects for compositing. The scene is of a bridge collapsing coz of two missiles hitting it. Thw scene contains baked rigid bodies(bridge chunks), Particle cloud s/w (missile trail and debris trail), Instanced particles (debris), Fluid (blast). Also, low poly geometry of the bridge with projection on it.

Can you help me with the rendering?

You asked about passes and the video went into how to output different passes. What exactly are you having problems with?
