Well getting all of this stuff imported into Maya is turning out to be a real hassle but I am almost there. Then its what to do with all the randomness user added image

I know how you feel, I found there tends to be a lot of reversed normals in the majority of the models I imported. You do have a pretty cool Storm Trooper though user added image

yea it really is a nightmare, hlf the models crash my scene. its a shame there isnt some sort of quality control to help sort out the mess

They do have a system called checkmate which from the looks of this is pretty good! Some of those free models they should probably just scrap completely more trouble then the worth... user added image

Are you referencing them or importing them?
