Trimming a Polygon

I am an old Autocad user, like in the 90s, really long time ago. When we would draw lines or even polygons we would be able to trim them back to a n edge....is there something like this in Maya to quickly and easily trim a polygon back to an edge.

CAD does a lot of stuff I wish Maya would do.

I think you'd have to use the Cut Faces Tool to get the line you'd want to trim *to* and then delete the faces beyond that line.

Using the Show Manipulator tool on the Cut Faces history item in the Channel Box will allow you to fine-tune the position of the cut.
