Gamma node in 2016?

Hi everyone. Do i still need a gamma node in maya 2016? or is it all done by the color M system ?

You Don't need it you simply turn on colour management it's set to on by default in 2016 then set the colour space under the texture node, normally sRGB for a texture and raw for a bump or normal map et cetera... finally as well no need to use a camera exposure node.

Render out as a 16 bit image, again default in 2016 make sure you don't have the colour management baked into the image then correct in post.

That said mental ray satellite still has problems with the built in colour management on a batch render so I still find myself using it from time to time.
