Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

March Challenge - mtmckinley - Normal

I'll see about giving it a whirl. user added image

I'll get a drawing done up. I'm more then likely going to do a low-poly entry for this one. user added image

Don't ask where the inspiration of this guy came from. lol

Ok, I'll tell you. Back in Jr. High, a guy asked me to draw a character. I did so, but couldn't think of anything to use for the head... at the time (and, arguably, at this time as well. :p ) I couldn't draw heads very well yet. He took it and slapped a big smiling flower head on it. lol

Since then, the idea evolved between my friend and I to Commando Flower.... some beefed up, daisy-head in camoflage gear and guns out the wazoo...

I haven't thought about those old drawings in forever, but I think it'd be funny for this one. user added image

So, now, I present to you: Mr. Daisy... cyborg-modified, of course. user added image

:p

at the moment, I'm planning on a low-poly character with a maximum polycount of 3000 triangles. user added image

I see there's a lot of triangulation going on. Is this a secret weapon? (I just wanna learn more)

this is meant to be a low-poly, game model rather than a high-res model. Most game models need to be triangulated.
