This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

looking good, I tried a Z3 but gave up, tried with nurbs though....nasty stuff!!

really? i like nurbs. in fact i know nothing about polygons so i decided to do this car in polygons

looking pretty good so far... are you using image planes to reference with? as for polys go, i used to use them all the time, but i find that for making cars, it is easier to use nurbs, or sb d.

i have a problem. How do i make the surface smooth? when i go to plolygons-smooth it goes all croocked. please help

after a lot of effort i have decided to start again and this time do it using sub Ds polygons and me dont get on

I hope you didn't scrap the poly version, try subdivding it first:

edit poly> subdivide

then smoooth. Might keep you're shape a little better, but be careful, there will be alotta faces.....
