Well i was thinking that if the skis were to turn to steer, theyd probably snap off. I think It could steer by decreasing power to one of the wheels, or increasing. ill have to make them on seperate axels though

The front skid turns on a skidoo and they dont break off. But they have a much thicker "axel" than yours. Are you thinking of anything for the front and sides? POssibly some control type jobbies for the seat.

hmm, yeah good point
perhaps i can rig something up for the skis

by axel, you mean the bar connecting the wheels right?

once i get the basic model down i have a few features id like to add, that will be controlled from the seat

Referancing the skidoo, I was calling the bar thats attached the the skid the axel, which it probably isnt in real life, but it is the pivot of the skid user added image

https://www.saskschools.ca/~landis/roots78/skidoo.jpg

I must admit Ive no idea how the sterring on skid vehicles work, but im all intigued now user added image I suspect that its just rack and pinion steering, like a car, but instead of wheels it has skids on the sides.

Maybe you could add some non descript mechanism at the top of each skid that could be an independant steering mechanism?

what is with the net anyway? Isn't this SNOW enviroment, like COLD! You definatly want an enclosed cabin for you're poor freezing driver/passenger(s)

Also it appears to me you're tires are on backwards, the scoops should scoop into the snow for traction.
