This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

He's jolly, he doesn't seem to havea sort of screaming expression which might be nice if you want him to react to anything extreme. I really like the ones where he's raising half an eyebrow, nice stuff.

I finished the color sceme on my character today and finished all the blendshapes. So all that is left is rigging and skinning the body and attaching the head. I plan on using some of the audio files from the www.10secondclub.net to use in my demo. I haven't animated since I left school 6 months ago so i'll be a bit rusty .
Here are the color tests and a quick render of his scared look. I am still toying around with the idea of adding textures to his clothing and rocket pack, but not sure as of yet. Thanks for the feed back guys.

I finialy had a day off to finish the blend shapes for the face. I used SDK for the eye brows and jaw, the rest are blend shapes. 35 blend shapes in all.

I don't think he looks at all like the alien song guy with the exception of the one eye. I set out to create a simple char to animate. The head shape is different and the body has no similarities to his model.
I had thought of slapping on some ears, but with his helmit on you won't see them. He try's do do the right thing but ends up screwing up most of the time. I haven't came up with a good name for him yet so he is nameless at the moment. He has a rocket pack, but it malfunctions on a regular basis. I'm working out the textures right now and should have some updates for you guys in a few days.

thanks for your time,
Kassun

Kassun,
nice job! I love the different facial expressions, the scared one is awesome. I also at first thought was, Oh neat its Blit (the Alien song guy from Victor Navone), but once seeing his body and the back of his head, its easier to see difference. Just to give a suggestion -- maybe change his skin color so it makes another strong difference.

also, you mentioned you used SDK for eye brows and jaw..since I'm still new at Maya..what is that?
