Mirror head loose the seam/joint line?

Q2- OK I modeled one half of a very nice POLY head. Now when i mirror it I get a seam/joint line.
What technique can i use to blend the 2 sides? It will be a shame if this model goes to waste due to the seam line.

Q2-How can i avoid this when I model my next head?

I have a mirroring/attaching vid at my personal site if you're interested.

I don't think this is something you really should concern yourself with trying to avoid. You just need to learn how to mirror and attach is all. It's a very common and frequantly done procedure.
