Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Smooth shading problem

I seem to have a problem with smooth shading in the viewport.
Here's the same polygon sphere with different subdivisions in the
height and axis.

It seem like there's a threshold before the smooth shading turns to flat shading. Is there some way to increase it? Or is there another solution to my problem?

Edit polygons -> Normals -> Soften/Harden normals -> All soft.
