Hey, looks good there, for an hour and 15 minute!

Have you ever tryed modeling useing the create polygon tool to draw the basic shape of the head from the side view. And then extude edges, and then convert to subdiv. And then in polygon mode extude and merge the edges starting with the eye area working your way to the nose, and then the mouth. When your done convert back to polygon.

This is how I model heads now, which I find to be the easise. But this is just one of the ways to model head, or even the body for that matter.

vedic kings, i have done it that way before, i learned about it using TheHobbits head tutorial. I like that method cuz it feels like im drawing it. i should try to see what i can make up using that way. well see =)

Wow, an hour to do this ?!? and you do it every day ?!?
I'd be lucky to do it in a week ...... *sigh* ...... I am a super noob :disap:

Well first things first is the interface, know your way around.. Then learn how to build things, changing their build options, moving points around..just you know, get the hang of the tool. Then if you want to focus on modeling area for awhile before moving on to say, texturing, you can..But id recommend you getting the basics of almost all of maya and then get back to focusing on one area.

But important thing though is have fun, at the same time work hard, at the same time dont worry, at the same time have patience, and be dedicated.
