Thanks for the feedback Alan. I've updated the green and yellow and added the slightest bit of reflection to the model.

Is this any better?

ok looking at some of our renders here:

the "thunderbird2" text is too big. Should be smaller set slightly further back aong the body and all the same size but the "2" is about 1.5 times the size of the letters

the yellow is too yellow: it should be slightly orange and at the moment it feels pasted ontop of the green. I think you need to dirty it up and overlay it in the texture so that it looks like it's affected by the panneling.

The green looks much better, although it's very hard to tell when it's on black. Put it ontop of the plate you are planning to use and then you will be able to tell better.

I may have missed something, but when you say here, where exactly do you mean here user added image is there a link missing?

I haven't picked a place to shoot as yet, but I want it to be from high up because the bottom of my T2 is the same as the Toy not the one from the movie. So I want to be shooting downish on the model.

I will update the texture this weekend and then shoot the plate.

Thanks for the feedback Alan.

Cheers
Paul

pick some where to shoot because your texture is almost there but now you need to see it in the environment.

This is the Thread that answered most of my questions on Maya Live. Should give you enough to get going.
