Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

As good as finished (almost100%)

Only the smaller arms in the front is missing now.

Hey! Thanks el_newty!
The lightning is bad, but it took so long to process that I did not redo the render.

Hello, Guys!
Excellent entries so far! This is going to be a difficult one to judge! In both categories!

deviantdreamworks: Perhaps drop a little bit the saturation of the colors? and a little more work on the mech? great entry!

RayRay: Excellent entry, one of the late entries that I like very much. Perhaps Undseth is right, maybe the legs are a bit too thin? However I do like the bulkyness this mech conveys. It goes very well with the Competition´s topic. Excellent work! Keep on it!

Undseth: Well, mate ... I´m happy with your entry as it is. Remember to create the little arms! and to texture the thing! user added image

Pure_Morning: Excellent scene mate.

Howdy

Well here I am again. Good call on the legs. I got so worried about the body, I forgot to make sure it was in proportion with what was already built. I went ahead and beefed them up and added the underbelly. Once I put the cockpit module(head) and maybe some more thrusters, I'll finish detailing and then texture.

Tutorial

Well undseth...decided to let the wasp on it's own for the next few days...and started writing a tutorial on modeling and texturing that mecha...that's more important for me at the moment...or isn't it ?
