Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Female head

I've been working on this model for the past few days. I've started the texturing but it doesn't look great so I decided to post it untextured. Any c&c will be appreciated as I'll probably still have to do a few more modelling tweaks.

possibly the forhead, or it could be just the lack of hair

Thanks for the comments guysuser added image. Point taken on the forehead, it is slightly too planar, I'll have to fix that. Yep, it's polygons, I never use anything else.

If you're looking for face refs, do a google image search of a famous person and find a good front or side. Most of the time you get one but not the other, so go into the galleries that the images come from and have a look around. Get some perp refs while you're at it.

Here'e a wire:

I'm not doing any more on this model cos I want to go on to other things and I'm crap at texturing.

I think we were asking for what ref you were using, as it could help the C+C buy knowing what the face really looks like.

That said. Looks like a good start. your geo's nice and clean. Perhaps the cheek bones are to long ?
