I would say that saying "there is never and excuse to using ambient lights" is wrong. They have a lot of useful uses, but need to be at very low intensities.

i didn't know about the [ and ] key for undoing camera moves...

nothing to say on your tips just on your format styles..

i'd make the subtitles look more like subtitles than your standard text. so make it bold or a font size 1 or 2 points larger

i'd also change the colour of the text to something darker....

are you using CSS for styling? you should if you aren't user added image

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX
Maya, XSI, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Motion, Illustrator, Flash, Swift3D

spellcheck!!!

i found several spelling mistakes :

4. should read 'off', not 'or'.

9. 'fragmented' and 'cause' are spelt wrong and hard drive should probably be 2 words.

10. lose the capital s in 'USe'.

also - i think you really need to work on your layout - it's just not very inviting or easy on the eyes - the first line gets lost in the grey background, your links kind of get lost in the blue and green and look too heavy compared to the other elements and the whole page seems pretty unbalanced.

sorry for the harsh crit, but i you said you were planning to redesign so figured I'd put it all on the table. user added image

Its all about analysis and writing to argue/persuade etc now, stuff grammar
stuff from me or everyone? because I dont think that alone accounts for my diabolical spelling

heres what my site is looking like at the moment

Everyones, or I should say younger people. Spelling and grammar's going down the pan, which in turn makes it hard to argue a point using the written language, as if you cant spell or understand the grammer it wont make good sense and instantly makes the author look less credible. You dont get many academic papers with bad grammar.

Though I would take exception to people who english is not their first language, but maybe you can when you try?

Anywho, i'm old.

Not too sure about the colour scheme, too much of a contrast.

gster, people who grow up with english as their first language can't speak/write/read english anyway...
people can complain that those who dont have english as a primary language don't speak it well, but in quite a few cases they speak it better than the natives... at least here anyway...

but... elephantinc...aren't you using a mac? everything is built with a spell checker... at least that's what it seems like to me... Firefox is highlighting everything now as i type...

yeah, i can't suggest anything to improve the colour scheme but it does look slightly childish (sorry, it seems like i'm calling everything you've done childish recently... i'm trying not to though... don't worry i don't think my stuff is impressive either :p)

no wait, it's not childish, it looks like medicine.... user added image

Not quite, any programming/scripting things dont seem to because nearly every thing would be underlined

All my site designs tend to be deathly boring or really childish, i guess its not my forte

medicine?!

Oh, and im now using CSS for formating user added image
