Unable to move or scale mesh in UV Texture Editor

I'm sure I'm missing a step along the way. But, I applied mapping to an object, then opened the mesh in the UV Texture Editor.

When I tried to move or scale the mesh it wouldn't let me. I could select edges and vertices. But, I couldn't engage the move or scale tool in the UV Texture Editor.

Any ideas of what I'm missing? user added image

Thanks.

You can only move UVs in the UV Texture Editor. Right-click and select UVs from the marking menu. Then you can transform UVs.

Hi maya4todd,

as Danny also say's you can only move the UV's in the uv texture editor...

but you can use the same hotkey's for move, rotate and scale on the uv's...

a little tip for moving whole part's/sections of uv's is using (uv)shells... instead of going up in the menu to activate this function, you can use this piece of code, which you can drag to your shelf, and then just hit that when you want to select a whole uvsection... just click one UV in the section, and the shelfbutton... user added image

Code:
SelectUVShell;
