Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

paint effects turbulence

Does anyone know how to get turnbulence on a brush I've been working on? I've copied the setting exactly from a brush from Maya's library, but it doesn't work.

Any thoughts?

In the brush attributes, there should be an attribute called 'tubes." Make sure it's ticked or you won't be able to define any turbulence settings. The Turbulance attributes are below it in the attribute editor under behavior. I just tried it and it works. PaintFX strokes need to be tubes or you could probably also do it by converting paintFX to poly but I haven't tried that. Hope this helped some.

I've attached a small playblast of my test.
