Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Human head

Hello folks,

I thought it was about time i tried to make a human head, I got some head reference shots from 3D.sk, the best site that I found for human referance, and will post my progress as and when I have some.

I made a proper start on her today and here's my progress. So far I'm pretty pleased, obviously there is plenty to do but your thoughts are always welcome.

Keep it up Matt. How are you modeling Box or Poly by Poly?

One tool that I used that I found really good is the poly sculpt tool with the auto smooth on to create nice smooth geometry.

I only really used it once I had the basic shape of the head down with the loops etc.
