Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Switching gears a bit Low poly

Well for the next little while i'll be switching gears a bit and working on some low poly stuff on my own time..

This is my sea turtle he is or will loosly be based on a drawing i have from The World of Warcraft design book i have... He will have some sort of of riggin on his back with some guns or cannons..

Should be a lot of fun as he is a neat consept.

Turtle model almost done he is sitting at 978 tris atm will se if i can get him down a bit more as well. before i go adn stat laying out uv's

Started to add base color and shades to build up some details.. still a lot more wrinkels to add.. might cut out eyes instead of painted..

Great paint job.

And for about 500 polys (correct me if i'm mistaken) it 's got some nice detail aswell

Second Character went back to one of my drawings of a little dude.. thinking of having him riding the turtles back or something like that...

Hes a bit higher then the turtle a under 3600 tris.

Yeah let him sit on the turtle, model a saddle with some insane rockets strapped on it give the turtle a sad face and the littlle gnome a maniacal laugh, that would be so sweet:lmao:

That is a nice low poly model there - I like it.

The paint job really lifts it although I would suggest changing the eye from being entirely black to something more human?

I know it isn't anatomically correct but it might be worth a try...
