Blured and multiple textured map problem?

Hi

I'm not very familiar with Maya.
the problem is that I want to texture map a surface using Cylindric Projection. After loading the color map (from a file ) the image is shown on the surface but the images is repeated for about 5 times on the surface and it's too blur. can anybody help me ??user added image

1. Which version of Maya are you using?
2. It would be nice to see a screenshot of the object.
3. The problem you have is the UV layout, it's messed up. Post a screenshot of the UV Texture Editor.

you can't rely on what the texture looks like in the viewport with default settings. try a render and see what you get first.


Accept no substitutions.

2 possible things.

1) your uvs are 5 times as big as the working area defined in your UV editor.

but

2) since you say it is blurred it seems like the place2dNode connected to your textureNode has a tiling of 5'5


everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
