Smooth it?

How to convert a 8 sided polygon into a torus shape?

In one of my tutorial the guy uses a button which doesn't work for me.

We created 2 nurb circles, loft them together, then converted it to a polygon, which turned out to be a 8 sided one.

Now I want to smooth it out.

Any ideas?:headbang:

Well, the only way that I was able to do this is:

Modify>Convert>Subdv to Polygon

Then

Modify>Convert>Polygon to Nurbs.

WHY? I have no clue.
I tried Modify>Convert>Polygon to Nurbs without the Modify>Convert>Subdv to Polygon but it didn't work.

Not only can you smooth an entire object, you can also smooth faces. Just select some faces, then perform the Mesh>Smooth. This is useful if you want to keep poly count low and you don't need all the parts of an object smoothed.

Don't be satisfied with what you can do but rather strive to do the things you can't do!
