Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

scaling particle efects

I have a particle effect that I work some time on for a scene but when I imported it into my scene I found its way to small it needs to be about 15 times bigger but when I try to scale it looses the look I want
the effect I want and have

what happens after scaling

I even tried to remake the effect from scratch at the right size but I still have the same problems and I cant get it to look any where near right

Thanks for your help in advance

Don't scale the effect, thats not how dynamics work (unless you cache out the particles, then scale that perhaps?).

What you need to do is scale the scene, group everything together and scale that group down how ever much you need and reposition.

cheers,
Chris

what do you mean chache out

and sadly scaling down my scene wont work because I have tons of animations with deforms that have CV key framed using world cordinance that and scaling animated rigs (bipeds) has never worked well for me ether I would have to reanimate the whole scene user added image

I almost have the 2 whole scenes ready to render the first scene ends with the char going into a wall of black smoke

and the second has tons of random fire balls like in the pic in it with the main char going up inflames near the end with a dynamic fire spray effect

I was working on all the dynamic effects but I want to see how it look in the scene and thats when I realized they are all 15X to small user added image

you see I am a decent modeler
I do know some animation/rendering/dynamics but its not my main field so I thought it be simple to add the light and dynamics after the scene is done
