Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Hydrolics-like system...help?

I need help animating a hydrolics-like system.

I have these two "bars" that open and close vertically and i'l like the cylinders to act as if they pushing them open and close.

I've included the file so you can see what i've done for far.

I think Set Driven Key would work well. I'm not able to open 4.5 files, though, so I'm not sure what your scene actually is.

maybe you could save it as a .ma file so 4.0 users can open the file

I dont really know that much about SDK's, but i suppose i couse use kevins spaceship-SDK tut to learn.

There is also a free leg rig tutorial that will use set driven keys!
I should rerlease it next week mate.

Quite handy as it has 4 different SDK`s so give you lots of practise

I have this bulb, (there will be more), i need to light it and for them to flash 1-by-1 creating a scequence in a line.

any help?

you would need to give it some sort of glass shader,and place an animated light inside it.
