It could be your meshes, try doing a cleanup on them. It also could be that you need the phone to be 1 mesh only not combined.................dave

could be to do with so many verts next to each other. I read that a cloth simulation works better if the model is super big.

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX
Maya, XSI, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Motion, Illustrator, Flash, Swift3D

It fixed now.
Sure I did clean the mesh, but here is the conclusion.

if you have more than 2 object in the scene ( like mobile phone is 3 part) than you can apply the cloth into it, but all the object should be combined, it works but the texture will disappear plus Maya will crash.

If you have texture on the object, than you need to combine plus merge all the vertex Equally(Not triangle faces) together. I mean all the line and edges should match to each other, delete the history and it will work.

Yeah took me few days to sort out that issue.

Thanks guys for your support.
