Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Yesterday i was almost gpoing to freak out ,I was doing a cylindrical maping to her head and tried on a checker just tto see how it looks .and oh my god for hours I thought she could never be texture coz every single poly face had a diff color size etc .the point was stupid me I had several maps on her .ugh user added image
then i deleted them and stuck to one .pffff

I think you should just try to polymap using uv's. There's a great free tutorial from Michel @ his website https://www.mtmckinley.net/

Hi Anita

I just read that you're texturing the face and have spent hours tweaking, I hope you did just one half of it only then flipped your UVs. Also the top of the head Just do a Planar on Y axis

Saves Hours of Hell!!!

jango yeah I'll do that.we still couldnt figure out how to make the hair nice in shave for some reason it was going throuh the head too

Its because you didn't set a collision object to the head. Do that, and it will probably work.

Check your surface normals are facing the right way, Edit Poly Menu>Normals>Set to Face

This should help...

Ok. Thats good. Man I wish I had some friends that knew maya. Oh well. I found a thing you should fix in the model. The eye brows on your model look too mad, while the rest of her face is normal. That would make it alot more realistic.

Very shapely anita .. did you use reference images ? I have looked for shapely references but haven't been able to find anything I like .She is coming along great btw user added image
