Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Yeah I did google some refs. I want a couple shots of the desk so I want the shading on the PC setup to look good user added image

I did mine in PS Gen...simple noise and motion blur of course. It was my lunchbreak so I only had half an hour to do mine. I probably should have played with it more in PS to get the right effect...spec map etc. As you can see mine has UV issues on the inside and the back plate..again time LOL.

Made some tweaks to the brushed metal. I had to go back to my little R&D scene! More update soon :3
