Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Isoparm to Curve

I'm absolutly sure Maya can do this, but I can't find it.

I want to select an isoparm, and then get a new curve that is not part of the original object.

Thanks.

right click on the nurbs surface select isoparm move the yellow line to the location you want to create your line and than go to edit nurbs menu insert isoparms.

Roach,

This inserts an isoparm on the object. Not what I'm looking for. I want it to make a curve object that is separate from my NURBS object.

Select the Isoparm.
Goto Edit Curves -> Duplicate Surface Curves.

There used to be one, so, you might want to search for it first, before making a full-on brand new tip thread...
