Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Same Fish in deep water - this time using the Maya renderer
and light linking to better illuminate the fish.

I really like the second render alot. I SCUBA dive a fair bit and you've caught the underwater look well!

That'll do donkey... that'll do...

thanks !

Coming to think of it - This fish might be, this very moment, showing off (in some weird fish-forum) his own aqua-render of a "Maya modeler swimming in front of him with his mouse and keyboard" ....
:p

looks quite good, but the eye bad, a better one would make the fish more alive. also, i think you could do a little bit more work about the texture. The black stripes look just like they are painted very badly with a brush in photoshop..

It must be Nemos evil brother user added image...The skin looks a little weird in the front, and the eyes should be very dark blue if not black...other than that, pretty good job user added image
