Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Texture flow over different faces?

Is it possible to have an image that covers more than one face on a polygon? Have a look at my attachement to see what I mean.

Cause what I get now is this.

First I thought it was about my different sized faces, but as you see it works good across a few on the left side and the right side goes bananas so maybe not...

What do the UVs look like? You might have to UV map it to get your image laid out correctly. Look in the Maya documentation getting started portion for a simple UV mapping tutorial.

Seems like there were to solutions. The hard way to fix UV-mapping over my uneven polygons or the easy way of using a projection.

I was lazy and went for the projection.
