Maya Newbie here

I'm pretty much new and clueless abt maya(excpet that my friend passed me the sudent thingy) and i would like to know if there are any good books out there( or any tutorials) that could help somebody clueless about all these learn the basics? Thanks

first off welcome to simplymaya.

there are lots of great tutorials here to help you get started in 3d.
the dvds here are also great. i would also recommend thegnomonworkshop.com.

concerning books alias.com has more than you need. and also check out amazon.com. there are books there too. alot of em.
