Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

re-rigging question

hi, I've setup my character with just a basic skeleton, but now, after the fact, I've decided to go back and create a real skeleton and muscles and whatnot, but I really like the animation I've already done, is there a way to transfer this stuff to the scenes I've already animated? thanks in advance

There are ways of reconnecting animation curves from one object to another, but, if the hierarchy has changed, then the results may not look the same. You could also setup the basic skeleton to drive the new skeleton, but then you'd essentially have duplicate rigs. Your best bet would be to just re-animate the new rig.
