cloth effects

Hi guys just done the free cloth tutorial which btw was very well done, and now Im starting a new animation project which involves characters and I was wondering if by using cloth I can design a cloak for the character that would blow in the wind and react to movement. Is this possible or do I need to use another tool

thanks, Callum Abele

if you want to add raine to your scene, you better try maya unlimited fluid effect first to know how to create particle.

em fluids would be a little over the top for some rain... just streak particles comped in over the top and blurred a bit would be just fine.
