Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

are those vertices weighted to any bones? When you use the Edit Membership tool and remove vertices from being affected by a bone, you are actually removing their weighting from ALL bones, so when you move the skeleton, they don't move. You would need to Edit Membership and add those vertices to a bone that you want to use to affect those points.

Thanks, that worked beautifully. There were verticees not assigned to anything, so I just assigned them to a joint and everything moved together.

Incidentally, grouping the joints/bones with the skin and then rotating did not give good results so I left them ungrouped.

Thanks again,
Cathleen
