Real World Clothing Patterns W/ Maya

Hey, is it possible to use patterns by companies like Butterick, Simplicity, and McCall to make clothes for characters? I know there has to be a way. Just pondering. Thanks in advance! user added image

Yes their si but i cant remeber were I found the tuts for that, u might want to do a google search for clothing modling.

Cloth Alternatives?

Okay, this is a new topic that has kinda dawned on me as I've been contemplating how to put clothes on this naked jaybird of mine. I'd like to ask what method most of you use to get clothes on the screen. Do you use Maya Cloth, a different plug-in or do you just model the clothes onto your characters?
